Philosophy and Vision

Sessions are based around a strong ethos of lots of fun and promoting RuggerEds’ core values of Good Manners, Respect, Teamwork and Fairplay.

The games are high energy and designed to make the children work together to achieve common goals and the essence of teamwork. Delivered in a safe and structured rugby related play environment, by a team of qualified and experienced coaches.

Our aim at RuggerEds is not only to improve the children’s motor skills but to deliver in partnership with parents and schools confident, well mannered, independent young people.

To provide an educational environment, where every child matters and every child is encouraged as an individual to unlock their full potential, ultimately creating “better people, better players”.

RuggerEds North East Derbyshire are excited to announce the start of two new sessions, Starting sunday 2nd April at Tupton RUFC and Saturday 29th at Barlborough Hall sschool. Well done to all three Y3 classes at Abbey Lane Primary for some amazing effort in the challenging weather conditions during this mornings PE lessons.

Every child was a pleasure to teach and some even took the opportunity to thank the coaches on their worksheets!

We look forward to seeing how the children progress over the course of the half term and to spending even more time with such well mannered children!

Thank you to all at Lydgate Infant School for a great day, 200+ children enjoyed RuggerEds PE lessons, followed by our regular Afterschool Club!

Even with 3 of our regular schools closed for training that's 320+ children today taking part in RuggerEds in South Sheffield alone!
